What is Metaontology?

"Metaontology" is the study of the field of ontology. Metaontology is the philosophical study of existence, and has many other complementary fields of science, like Metaphysics and Cosmology.

What are the goals of Metaontology?

Metaontology has the goal of establishing a system of base units in the universe. It wishes to identify the most fundamental building blocks of nature, and how they work and interact together. It seeks to determine what can exist, and how we can measure it.

"To answer this question, we need to do the experiments that the rules tell us are related to (1)’s truth. Or we might instead try to stand “outside” the framework and ask whether or not the world really works the way the framework says it does."

What makes Metaontology different from other fields of philosophy and science?

While focusing on all the same fundamental questions as other fields of scientific inquiry, metaontology is special in the sense that it seeks to create a unifying structure of understanding between relationships of entities, but does not impose limitations on itself. All physical theories are fair game until they are disproven, as are all philosophical revelations, unlike other branches which limit themselves to a particular set of principles. However, deciding which principles are the right ones involves quantization and measurement to produce a metric by which it can be determined actions which will most likely result in a positive outcome. It is difficult to measure Qualia, because we cannot quantify it. Metaontology seeks to define undetermined metrics such as these.
